![]() Christmas promises to be much different, this year with the release of my newest book, "They Saw Him, First". In this book, we traverse the journey to Bethlehem with the shepherds in Luke Chapter 2. I took an interest in this part of the Christmas story because I wanted to fully differentiate their journey from that of the magi. It wasn't until recently that I discovered that we intermingle their stories and tell them inaccurately. While researching the story, I also learned that the nativity scene we see isn't an accurate depiction of the night that Christ was born, it's more of a summation of the accounts presented in scripture. In the book, we'll not only investigate the journey of the shepherds, we'll take a deeper look into the account presented by Luke, we'll re-visit the angel's words to Mary and the shepherds and gain an appreciation for being set apart and chosen by God to be and do major things. This will hopefully lead readers to the understanding that God uses people we consider "ordinary" to do extraordinary things, by His power! Because God didn't stop with Mary or even the Apostles, I believe that God is still using people we'd otherwise consider ordinary to do extraordinary things and many of them look just like you and me! The believability of this is bolstered by getting to know who we are in Christ! There are no coincidences in God, everything is connected! With this understanding, my hope is that readers will see even the cross in Christmas and Jesus revealed in themselves. If we as believers continue to live life separate from the power of God to make all things work together as He intended, we will continue to live defeated lives, come up short and ultimately fail at what God has destined us to do! In the book, readers will see how at Christmas Christ was revealed to us but as the risen Savior, Christ is revealed in us! "They Saw Him First" begins at Christmas but doesn't end there. For many readers, it will become a new beginning as they embrace the fulness of Christ in their lives. The ebook is free this year and of the many gifts I could give this year, I want to make readers aware of the greatest gift ever, sonship (John 1:12). Though we are waiting for the son of God to be revealed fully in this world, Christ is being revealed in us, daily. Our world should be a reflection of that as we shine that light forth (Matthew 5:16)! My light is literary and I am pleased to present this book to all of you, for FREE as a gift from myself in conjunction with Mighty Pen Publishing. To download your copy, simply join the Mighty Pen Readers Club to access your copy, today! Here's a portion of the music I listened to as I wrote the book, enjoy...
