Before my youngest son began Pre-K, he would ride along on the van I drove for a local daycare. He made friends quickly and blended in with the other, much older kids I took to school and picked up after school. I would often hear him singing at the back of the van and just wrote it off as a preschool rambling. The hairs stood up on the back of my neck the day I heard the actual song on television! He was singing a line from the theme song of ToddWorld, a cartoon. I ran into his room in sheer bewilderment when I heard Smokey Robinson singing the show theme. It was a real thing...WOW! The lesson didn't require much thought, but it was a lesson I'll never forget. Your children will tell you what they’re listening to, are you listening to them? After taking notice of the ToddWorld theme song, I joined him in humming the theme song to "Timothy Goes to School", occasionally. It's really catch and we bond over the songs, I even played them on the organ after rehearsal. Parents, I encourage you pay attention to your children, what they say and even what they sing! Check out these two them songs and see if you can keep them out of your head!
